Initial Onboarding

Connect your Etsy shop and tell Shuttle where to keep your stock. About a minute, start to finish.

Onboarding has two steps. Once you're through them, Shuttle will be ready for you to start syncing.

Step 1: Connect Your Etsy Shop

When you first open Shuttle, you'll see a welcome screen with a quick summary of what gets synced and one checkbox to set before connecting.

Before you connect

A couple of things to have in order:

  • The right Etsy account. Whatever Etsy account is currently signed in on your browser is the one that'll be connected. If you use multiple accounts, switch to the right one first.

  • At least one active listing. Etsy's API won't let us connect to an empty shop. If yours has no active listings right now, publish a placeholder, finish the connection, then delete it.

Also, if your Etsy listings already share SKUs with your Shopify products, check the My Shopify and Etsy products share SKUs box. Shuttle will use those SKUs to match listings between platforms automatically. If they don't match, leave it unchecked and you can match listings manually after connecting.

When you're ready, click Connect to Etsy. You'll sign in on Etsy to authorize the connection, then come right back to Shuttle.

Step 2: Pick your inventory location

With Etsy connected, Shuttle needs to know which Shopify location should mirror your Etsy stock.

If you only have one active Shopify location, this step is skipped automatically. If you have several, pick the location that holds the inventory you sell on Etsy. Shuttle will keep stock at that location in sync with Etsy from then on, and will use it whenever you transfer products from Etsy to Shopify.

You can change this later in Settings if your setup shifts.

That's it

Once both steps are done, your shops are connected and Shuttle is ready to go. From here, pick whichever piece matters most to your shop and dig in:

  • Transferring products between Etsy and Shopify, so listings exist on both.

  • Turning on stock syncing, so quantities stay aligned as orders come in.

  • Importing your Etsy reviews to display on your Shopify product pages.

  • Bringing Etsy orders into Shopify, so you can fulfill everything from one place.

The next guides walk through each of these. If you'd rather open the dashboard and look around first, that's fine too. Nothing else needs to happen for Shuttle to start working.
