What are Objects?

Get to know the core concepts of objects and quota in Shuttle.

Updated over a week ago

An object in Shuttle refers to any product, order, or review that you transfer or export between Etsy and Shopify. Updates or stock synchronization performed automatically by Shuttle's real-time Stock Syncer do not consume your object quota.

Example: If you have 350 products and 100 reviews to transfer, you'll require a total of 450 objects.

Understanding Your Object Quota

Your Shuttle account includes an object quota, representing the total number of objects you can transfer or export. If your required transfers exceed your current quota, you can easily increase your object count through a one-time purchase via Shuttle's subscription page.

These purchased objects are a one-time cost and never expire, as long as your subscription remains active. For flexibility, we recommend purchasing more objects than you immediately require. This ensures you'll have enough quota available for future transfers of products, orders, or reviews.

Tip: Buying objects in larger quantities reduces the cost per object, offering you greater value.

Additionally, each Shuttle plan includes a monthly allowance of new objects. For example, the Base Starter plan includes an initial 50-object quota and adds another 50 objects each subsequent month.

Why Does Shuttle Use Objects?

Shuttle uses the object-based pricing model because it clearly and accurately reflects your actual usage, offering fairer and more predictable pricing compared to restrictive subscription-based models.

For instance, combining the Base Starter plan ($5/month) with a one-time purchase of 5,000 objects ($69) averages out to less than $7/month when spread over three years—delivering exceptional value.
