Block: Etsy Product Link

Updated over a month ago

Want to give your Shopify customers the option to buy your products on Etsy as well? Shuttle’s Etsy Product Link block makes it simple to add a customizable link to your Shopify product pages — connecting them directly to the matching product in your Etsy shop.

Why Add an Etsy Link?

Build Trust & Credibility

Some customers feel more comfortable buying from a well-known marketplace like Etsy, especially if they’ve purchased from you there before. Providing a link gives them that option.

Highlight Your Etsy Reputation

If you have a strong Etsy presence with reviews or repeat buyers, this feature helps Shopify visitors discover it easily.

Cross-Promote Effortlessly

Create a seamless experience between your Shopify and Etsy stores by showing your customers all their buying options — in one place.

Step 1: Enable the Etsy Product Link in Shuttle

Before you can add the block in your Shopify theme, make sure the feature is enabled in your Shuttle settings.

  1. In Shuttle, go to Theme Blocks → Etsy Product Link.

  2. Check the box “Enable Etsy Product Link” to activate the feature.

  3. Click “Send All Product Links to Shopify.”
Shuttle will look for product matches and send the corresponding Etsy URLs to your Shopify store.

Important Note: The link will only appear on Shopify product pages where a matching Etsy product has been found by Shuttle.

Step 2: Add the Etsy Product Link Block in Your Theme

Once enabled in Shuttle, you can add and customize the Etsy Product Link using Shopify’s Theme Editor.

  1. Open your Shopify Theme Editor and navigate to a product page.

  2. Click “Add block”, then select “Etsy Product Link.”

  3. The block will appear — now you can customize its appearance and content.

Customization Options

Content Settings

Content Type:

Choose how you want the link to be presented.

  • Template #1: A pre-designed option that usually includes the Etsy logo and some text (like "View on Etsy" or "Also available on Etsy").

  • Image: Use a custom image as the entire link. This could be something you've designed specifically.

  • Custom HTML: For advanced users! You can write your own HTML for the link. Use [ETSYLINK] as the placeholder for the actual Etsy product URL, and [ETSYLOGO] to insert the Etsy logo if you wish. Shuttle will replace these with the correct link and logo.

Template Text:

If you're using "Template #1", this is where you customize the text that appears alongside the Etsy logo. For example, "Find this on Etsy too!".

Template Lines (Applies when using "Template #1"):

  • Same: The Etsy logo and your template text will appear on the same line.

  • Different: The Etsy logo and your template text will be on separate lines, one above the other.

Custom HTML Content:

If you selected "Custom HTML" as your Content Type, this is where you'll paste your HTML code. Remember to use [ETSYLINK] for the URL!

Link Image:

If your "Content Type" is "Image", click "Select" here to upload your image or choose one from your library. You can even "Explore free images."

Etsy Logo Size:

This slider (in pixels) controls how big the Etsy logo appears. This setting affects the logo in all content types where it's used (like Template #1 or if you use [ETSYLOGO] in Custom HTML).

Styling Options:

These settings let you fine-tune the appearance of the block to perfectly match your store's design.

Content Alignment:

Align the link block to the Left, Center, or Right within its container.

Content Width:

  • Fit: The block will only take up as much space as its content needs.

  • Full: The block will stretch to the full width of the section it's placed in.

More Styling Options:

  • Background Color: Choose a background color for the link block.

  • Text Color: Select the color for any text within the link block.

  • Font Size: Adjust the size of the text.

  • Border Color: Add a colored border around the block.

  • Border Width: Control the thickness of the border.

  • Border Radius: Create rounded corners for the block. Higher values mean more rounded.

  • Vertical Padding: The space (in pixels) between the top/bottom edges of the block and its content.

  • Horizontal Padding: The space (in pixels) between the left/right edges of the block and its content.

  • Margin Top: The space (in pixels) above the entire block.

  • Margin Bottom: The space (in pixels) below the entire block.

And that’s it! By thoughtfully enabling and styling the Etsy Product Link block, you give your customers more choices and create a more connected experience between your Shopify and Etsy presences.
