What is a Kit?

A Kit (also known as a Bundle or Pack) is a special product variation that, when sold, affects the inventory levels of one or more other variations.

Creating a Kit in Shuttle

To create a new Kit:

  1. Visit the Kits/Bundles page here:
    https://shuttleapp.io/dashboard/products/kits/1

  2. Click Create Kit.

  3. In the modal that appears, search for the variation you want to designate as the Kit. Be as specific as possible since search results are limited to 20 items.

  4. Once you locate the variation, click Create Kit.

At this point, Shuttle creates the Kit, but it's incomplete since it doesn't yet include any items.

  • To add items, click Add Item, then search for the variations to include.

  • Once you find an item, specify how many of that variation are part of the kit, then click Add Item.

  • Repeat this step to add as many items as needed.

When your Kit is ready, activate it by toggling the On/Off switch (Note: Kits that remain inactive won't be processed by Shuttle).

Updating a Kit's Stock Level

To update stock levels for a Kit:

  • Click the Update button next to the Kit. Shuttle will automatically calculate and update the Kit's stock level based on the available inventory of its items.

  • To update all Kits simultaneously, click the Update Kits button.

Are Kits Part of the Stock Syncer?

Yes. If you have an active Syncer subscription, Shuttle will automatically monitor Kits and their individual items, keeping stock levels synchronized:

  • When a Kit item is sold or updated, Shuttle adjusts the parent Kit's stock accordingly.

  • When a Kit is purchased, Shuttle updates stock levels for all individual Kit items to reflect this change.

Important Note: Shuttle doesn't track Kits updated manually. This is because manual inventory changes make it impossible to accurately determine how many of each item within the Kit were affected.
