All offerings are deactivated, due to being sold out

This error means Etsy refused the product's variations because every one of them was turned off. Etsy needs at least one variation turned on.

Why it happens

Shuttle turns a variation off on Etsy in two cases. You see this error when one of them applies to every variation of the product:

  • Every variation is sold out in Shopify, and Disable sold-out Etsy variations is ticked. Check the stock of each variation in Shopify, and check the setting under Settings > Products > Shopify → Etsy > Inventory.

  • Every variation is excluded by your product settings. Check whether your variation exclusions match all of the product's variations.

How to fix it

When every variation would be turned off, Shuttle keeps the first one turned on so that Etsy accepts the product. To fix the error, transfer the product again:

  1. In Shuttle, go to Products > Shopify → Etsy.

  2. Find the product.

  3. Click Transfer to Etsy. If the product is already on Etsy, click Update in Etsy.

If you want sold-out variations to stay turned on in Etsy:

  1. Go to Settings > Products > Shopify → Etsy.

  2. Under Inventory, untick Disable sold-out Etsy variations.

  3. Click Save.
