When you add a new product to one store, Shuttle can create it in your other store on its own, so you don't have to start each transfer yourself. You pick which direction to automate, and the filters and delays decide which products go and when.
Where to find the automatic transfer settings
The automatic transfer settings are in Settings, and each direction has its own set.
In Shuttle, open Settings.
Under Products, choose Etsy → Shopify or Shopify → Etsy.
Go to the Automatic product transfers section.
Change your settings, then click Save.
You can turn on automatic transfers for one direction or for both.
Transfer new Etsy listings to Shopify automatically
Shuttle regularly checks your Etsy shop and sends new listings to Shopify, so you only have to create each listing once, on Etsy. A listing is transferred once it is active on Etsy and has not been transferred before.
These settings are in the Automatic product transfers section of the Etsy → Shopify settings:
Enable automatic transfers: turns automatic transfers from Etsy to Shopify on or off.
Transfer delay: gives you time to edit a listing before Shuttle transfers it. This helps if you duplicate Etsy listings and edit the copies right away, because Shuttle won't transfer the unedited copy. The delay counts from when the listing was created. The longest delay Shuttle applies is 15 minutes, even if you choose a longer option.
Automatically publish transferred products: automatically transferred products are created in Shopify as drafts by default. Turn this on to publish them right away, with no review step. Products still arrive as drafts if Default status under Product visibility is set to Hide as drafts, or if the Etsy listing is not active.
New product window: only listings created within this window count as new, so older listings are ignored even if you activate them now. You can choose from 1 to 90 days, and the default is 5 days.
Tag filter: choose Exclude products with these tags to skip listings with certain Etsy tags, or Only include products with these tags to transfer only listings that have them. Separate tags with commas. Skipped listings show a warning that names the tag.
Transfer new Shopify products to Etsy automatically
When you create a new product in Shopify, Shuttle sends it to Etsy. You can limit this to one collection, or to products with certain tags or collections.
These settings are in the Automatic product transfers section of the Shopify → Etsy settings:
Enable automatic transfers to Etsy: turns automatic transfers from Shopify to Etsy on or off.
Collection trigger: limits automatic transfers to new products in one Shopify collection. Enter the collection name exactly as it appears in Shopify, or leave it empty to transfer all new products. Shuttle only picks up products created in the last two hours, so adding an older product to the collection won't transfer it. After a successful transfer, Shuttle removes the product from the collection so it is not transferred twice.
Transfer delay: makes Shuttle wait after a product is created before transferring it. This helps when another app, for example Printify, adds images or details after the product is created. Five minutes works for most shops. The longest delay Shuttle applies is 15 minutes, even if you choose a longer option. Products added to the Collection trigger collection after they were created are transferred without a delay.
Tags or collections filter: appears when Collection trigger is empty. Choose Exclude products with these tags or collections to skip products with certain Shopify tags or collections, or Only include products with these tags or collections to transfer only those products. Separate names with commas.
AI SEO Assistant: if your plan includes AI, choose which details Shuttle's AI should write for the new Etsy listing: Title, Tags, Materials, Primary Color, Holiday or Occasion. Your original Shopify product is not changed.
What else applies to automatic transfers?
Products that are already linked to a product in your other store are not transferred again.
Your other transfer settings, such as titles, prices and shipping profiles, also apply to automatic transfers.
During the free trial, automatic transfers pause once you have used your monthly transfer allowance.
