Product has no matches.

This means Shuttle skipped a product because the run was set to update existing products only, and the product has no matching product in your other shop.

Why it happens

When you choose Only update existing products, Shuttle changes only products that are already matched. It does not create new products. A product has no match when:

  1. It was never transferred or matched. It exists in only one of your shops.

  2. Match by SKU is turned off. This setting is off by default. When it is off, Shuttle does not pair your products by SKU, even if the SKUs are the same in both shops.

  3. The SKUs are different. The product, or its variations, has different SKUs in Etsy and Shopify, so Shuttle cannot pair the two.

  4. The SKUs are not unique. If more than one product shares the same SKUs, Shuttle does not know which one to pair, so it pairs none.

How to fix it

If the product is new and you want to add it to your other shop, run it again and choose Only transfer new products or Transfer & update products.

If the product already exists in both shops:

  1. Give the product and its variations the same SKUs in Etsy and Shopify. Each SKU must be used by one product only.

  2. Go to Settings > Products > General.

  3. In the Smart Matcher card, turn on Match products and variations by SKU, then click Save.

  4. Go to Settings > Account > Connected Shops.

  5. Next to your Shopify shop, click Re-match products, then click Re-match Shopify products in the box that opens to confirm.

  6. Wait until the Shopify shop shows Re-match complete. While a re-match runs, both Re-match products buttons are greyed out.

  7. Next to your active Etsy shop, click Re-match products, then click Re-match Etsy products to confirm. Wait until it shows Re-match complete.

  8. Run the update again.

You can also pair the two products yourself. See Using Custom Matches. To learn more about matching, see Matching Products & Variations.

Still seeing it?

Contact support if Match products and variations by SKU is on, the SKUs are the same in both shops and used by only one product, you have re-matched both shops, and the update still skips the product.
