Etsy's limit of 70 values per option has been exceeded

A Shopify product you sent to Etsy has an option with more than 70 values. Etsy allows no more than 70 values per option, so it did not accept the product.

Why it happens

An option is a choice the buyer makes, like Size or Color. Each choice inside it, such as S, M or L, is a value.

  • One option on the Shopify product has more than 70 values. For example, a Color option with 80 colors. To check, open the product in your Shopify admin and count the values under each option.

  • Shuttle counts the product as it is in Shopify. The limit applies to the values saved on the Shopify product, so the fix has to happen in Shopify.

How to fix it

  1. In your Shopify admin, open the product.

  2. Find the option that has more than 70 values.

  3. Remove values until that option has 70 or fewer. If you need to keep all of them, split the product into two Shopify products, with 70 or fewer values per option in each.

  4. Save the product.

  5. In Shuttle, go to Products, click Start a bulk transfer and choose Transfer to Etsy to transfer the product again. For more help, see Transfer products between Etsy and Shopify.
