Whether you are filling a new shop or adding a few listings, Shuttle can move products between your Etsy and Shopify shops one at a time, through a queue, or in bulk. Bulk runs and queues are set up on the Transfer page.
Open the Transfer page
In Shuttle, go to Products.
Click Transfer or update products at the top of the page. On the Queue tab, this button reads Transfer queued products.
The Transfer page opens with four tiles at the top. Select a tile and the next steps appear below it.
Etsy → Shopify: bring Etsy listings into Shopify.
Shopify → Etsy: push Shopify products to Etsy.
Transfer queued products: run the products you have added to the queue. This tile shows how many products are queued, and it is unavailable when the queue is empty.
Continue last run: resume the last bulk transfer that stopped before it finished. It shows No stopped run to resume when there is nothing to continue.
On the free plan, bulk runs are not available, so the Etsy → Shopify and Shopify → Etsy tiles on the Transfer page are locked. You can still transfer products one at a time or use the queue.
Ways to transfer products
Pick the method that fits how many products you are moving and when you want to move them.
Transfer products in bulk
A bulk transfer moves a large group of products in one run.
On the Products page, click Transfer or update products to open the Transfer page, then pick Etsy → Shopify or Shopify → Etsy.
Under What do you want to do?, choose one of these:
Only transfer new products to skip anything that already exists on the destination.
Only update existing products to refresh fields on matched products without adding new ones.
Transfer & update products to do both in one run.
Update recently purchased to refresh stock only, based on recent orders.
Under Narrow down the products, pick a Product status and, if you like, a Section (Etsy) or Collection (Shopify). If you leave the section or collection on its default, the run covers your whole shop.
If your run includes updates, go to Fields to update on duplicates and tick the fields Shuttle should overwrite when a product already exists on the destination.
Check the summary under Review & start, then click the start button: Start transfer, Start update or Start transfer & update.
New listings sent from Shopify to Etsy are created as drafts on Etsy, so activate them on Etsy when you are ready to sell.
Transfer a single product
Use a single transfer when you only need to move one product.
On the Products page, find the product you want to transfer.
On the product's row, click Transfer to Shopify or Transfer to Etsy. The button matches the shop the product is not in yet.
A window opens:
For Etsy → Shopify, check the direction and click Transfer.
For Shopify → Etsy, you can assign a section, a category and attributes, then click Transfer product.
The window shows the transfer's progress, then the result: the transfer completed, a duplicate was found, or an error stopped it.
To refresh a product that is already in both shops, use the update button on its row. On the Etsy → Shopify tab it reads Update in Shopify, and on the Shopify → Etsy tab it reads Update in Etsy. On the All Products tab, click Update and pick the direction.
Build and run a queue
The queue lets you collect products as you browse and transfer them together later. One queue can hold products going in both directions.
On the Products page, browse or search for the products you want to include.
On each row, click the more actions button ('...'), then Add to queue. If the product is already in both shops, pick Etsy to Shopify or Shopify to Etsy. Otherwise Shuttle sets the direction for you.
When the queue is ready, open the Queue tab on the Products page and click Transfer queued products, or select the Transfer queued products tile on the Transfer page.
Under Fields to update on duplicates, tick the fields to overwrite on products that already exist on the destination.
Check the summary under Review & start, then click Transfer queued products.
The Queue tab on the Products page shows only your queued products, so you can check and adjust the list before you run it.
To queue several products at once, select them on the Etsy → Shopify or Shopify → Etsy tab and click Process. Shuttle adds them to the queue and takes you straight to the run.
The queue holds a limited number of products, and the limit depends on your plan. When the queue is full, Shuttle shows a message with the limit.
Continue a stopped run
When a bulk transfer stops before it finishes, Shuttle keeps its settings, so the continued run uses the same direction, type and filters and you do not need to pick them again.
On the Products page, click Transfer or update products to open the Transfer page.
Select the Continue last run tile.
Check the summary, then click Continue last transfer.
The Products page also shows a Last transfer didn't finish banner, and its Continue button takes you to the same step.
Update stock for recently purchased products
Update recently purchased corrects stock after recent sales without running a full update. It only updates stock, and no other fields change.
On the Products page, click Update recently purchased at the top of the page.
Pick which shop's stock to update:
Recently purchased Etsy products updates stock on Etsy, based on your recent Shopify orders.
Recently purchased Shopify products updates stock in Shopify, based on your recent Etsy orders.
On the Transfer page, under How far back should we look?, pick the Earliest order date.
Check the summary under Review & start, then click Update recently purchased.
How many orders Update recently purchased checks depends on where they were placed:
Etsy orders: your 25 most recent orders placed on or after the earliest order date.
Shopify orders: orders placed on or after the earliest order date, up to 250, skipping orders that came from Etsy.
Orders Shuttle has already processed are skipped, so if every order has been processed already, the run has nothing to update.
Narrow a bulk transfer by status, section or collection
You can narrow a bulk transfer by product status and by Etsy section or Shopify collection, so the run covers only the products you want.
For Etsy → Shopify bulk transfers, you can choose:
Active Products Only (the default)
Expired Products Only
Inactive Products Only
Sold-out Products Only
Draft Products Only
For Shopify → Etsy bulk transfers, you can choose:
All statuses
Active Products Only (the default)
Draft Products Only
Archived Products Only
You can also narrow a bulk transfer to one Etsy section or Shopify collection. If you pick an Etsy section with a status other than active, Shuttle checks every listing in that status and processes only the ones in the section, so the progress count includes all of those listings.
