Some attributes were left off this listing

Your listing was transferred or updated, but Etsy does not accept some of its attributes in the listing's category, so Shuttle left those off. Everything else went through as normal.

Why it happens

Each Etsy category offers its own attributes and values. Shuttle only sends what the listing's category offers.

  • A Global Attribute is not offered in this category. Global Attributes apply to every product, but not every category has them all.

  • A metafield holds a value Etsy does not offer. Its value must be one Etsy offers for that attribute in this category.

  • Etsy turned the attribute down. Sometimes Etsy refuses an attribute even when the value looks right.

If only some values of an attribute were not offered, Shuttle still added the others.

How to fix it

If the listing looks right, nothing needs doing. Otherwise:

  1. Go to Settings > Catalog Mapping > Etsy Attributes.

  2. In the Category section, pick the listing's category from the Select a category… list. If it is not there, click Add category and search for it.

  3. Click View all and find the missing attribute. If it is not listed, Etsy does not offer it in this category.

  4. If the attribute uses a Shopify metafield, check that the metafield holds one of the values in that attribute's Value list.

  5. If the attribute is already on the listing on Etsy, Shuttle does not change it. Edit it on Etsy and pick a value Etsy offers in this category.

  6. If the attribute is missing completely, go to Products, click Update next to the product and choose Update in Etsy. Tick Attributes and click Update Etsy product.

Still seeing it?

Contact support if the attribute and value are in the category's list and it is still left off after an update. Tell us the product and the attribute.
