Shuttle allows you to seamlessly match and assign the right shipping profiles to your products when transferring or updating between Etsy and Shopify. This ensures that every transferred or updated product maintains accurate shipping settings on both platforms.
Why Match Shipping Profiles?
Each platform handles shipping profiles slightly differently. Matching profiles ensures your products have consistent and correct shipping settings after being transferred or updated, preventing errors or mismatches that could negatively impact your customers' shopping experience.
How to Set Up Shipping Profiles in Shuttle
Setting Default Shipping Profiles
Default shipping profiles are a fallback used when Shuttle can't find a matching profile. To set your default shipping profiles:
Navigate to the Shipping Profiles Settings page in Shuttle.
Scroll down to the Set Default Shipping Profiles section.
Choose your default Etsy and Shopify shipping profiles from the dropdown menus.
Click "Save Default Shipping Profiles".
Matching Specific Etsy and Shopify Profiles
To precisely control shipping profiles for transferred products, match Etsy profiles with Shopify profiles:
On the same settings page, scroll down to the Match Shipping Profiles section.
In each row, select the Etsy shipping profile from the left dropdown, and its corresponding Shopify shipping profile from the right dropdown.
Repeat this process for each profile you wish to map.
Click Save Shipping Profiles to save the mapping.
Tips for Effective Shipping Profile Mapping:
Ensure your shipping profiles on Etsy and Shopify are clearly named to simplify matching.
If you notice that some profiles are missing, refresh your profile lists in Shuttle to ensure you're viewing the most updated information.
If you have many shipping profiles, prioritize matching those most frequently used to maintain accurate shipping settings for your most popular products.
Matching shipping profiles is optional but highly recommended. If a specific match isn't found, Shuttle will always fall back to your default shipping profiles.
Using these profile mapping features helps maintain organized, accurate, and consistent shipping settings—keeping both you and your customers satisfied.
