Shuttle does its best to keep your order information in sync across platforms, but when it comes to refunds, there are some important limitations to be aware of.
Currently, Etsy does not allow external apps to initiate refunds. This means that if you refund an order on Shopify that originally came from Etsy, the refund will not be processed on Etsy automatically.
A few important notes:
You'll need to manually issue the refund from your Etsy admin to ensure the customer receives the refund.
Refunding a transferred order on Shopify only marks the order as refunded in Shopify—it does not process an actual payment reversal.
This happens because transferred orders do not carry payment details, so Shopify has no way to issue funds back to the customer.
