Transferring your Etsy orders to Shopify with Shuttle puts all your sales in one place. This makes it easier to track performance, manage customers and fulfill orders.
See All Your Sales in One Place
With your Etsy orders in Shopify, you can review sales from both channels together in Shopify's reports.
Shuttle adds an "Etsy Order" tag to every order it transfers. You can add your own tags in Settings > Orders, under Order tags. Use the [ETSY_ID] placeholder to add each order's Etsy receipt number as a tag.
You can filter your Shopify orders by these tags to:
View combined sales from both Etsy and Shopify.
Look at Etsy sales on their own.
Look at Shopify sales without your Etsy orders.
Keep Customer Purchase History Together
When a customer has bought from both your Etsy shop and your Shopify store, Shuttle adds their Etsy order to their existing Shopify customer record. The match is made by email address. For this to work, keep Use the customer's real email address turned on in Settings > Orders, under Customer.
If no matching customer exists, Shuttle creates one and tags them "Etsy Customer". You can add more customer tags in the same section.
Send Fulfillment and Tracking Back to Etsy
Transferred orders can use Shopify's fulfillment options and the apps you already use there. When you fulfill an order in Shopify, Shuttle can complete the matching Etsy order and add the tracking information:
Automatically: in Settings > Orders, under Automatic order transfers, first turn on Automatically transfer new Etsy orders to Shopify. Then turn on Automatically sync Shopify fulfillment to Etsy, which appears once automatic transfers are on. Both must stay on for Shuttle to complete Etsy orders automatically.
Manually: on the Orders page, click Fulfill next to the order, then click Complete in Etsy.
Shuttle stops Shopify from sending its own receipt and shipping emails for transferred orders, so customers do not get duplicate notifications.
In some countries, Etsy does not let apps complete orders, so shops there complete their orders and add tracking in Etsy themselves.
To transfer orders and sync fulfillment automatically, you need the Growth plan or higher.
Etsy's Shipping Address and Fulfillment Limits in Some Countries
Etsy restricts what apps can do with orders from shops in some countries. For an affected shop, Etsy does not share the buyer's shipping address, so transferred orders arrive in Shopify without one. Shuttle also cannot complete these orders in Etsy or send tracking information back to Etsy.
Whether your shop is affected depends on the country your Etsy shop ships from and on when you connected it to Shuttle. Etsy brings in the restriction country by country, each from its own date, and shops connected to Shuttle after their country's date are affected. Shops connected before that date are not.
Etsy keeps the list of countries and dates up to date in its own help center. To check your country, see Etsy's help article on using a third-party provider to ship your order.
This limit comes from Etsy, so there is no setting in Shuttle that turns it off.
If your shop is affected, the Orders page shows the warning "Etsy API changes affect order syncing". Orders still transfer to Shopify, but:
Each order arrives in Shopify without a shipping address.
Automatically sync Shopify fulfillment to Etsy does not appear in Settings > Orders.
When you fulfill an order in Shopify, complete the order in Etsy yourself, and add tracking there if needed.
Choose How Etsy's Tax Appears on Shopify Orders
Having all your orders in Shopify makes your sales, finance and tax records easier to manage in one place.
In Settings > Orders, under Order sale tax / VAT, you choose how Etsy's tax is handled on transferred orders:
Keep the tax Etsy charged.
Remove Etsy's tax from the Shopify order.
Replace it with your own VAT rate for the countries you choose. EU shops registered for OSS can have VAT applied based on where the order came from.
