Why aren't All My Stored Reviews in the CSV Export?

If you've exported reviews but notice that not all of your stored reviews are included in your CSV file, don't worry—there's usually a straightforward reason and an easy fix.

Here are the most common reasons why some stored reviews might not appear in the export:

1. Export Settings Restrictions

Check your Review Export Settings in Shuttle. You might have enabled specific filters, such as:

  • Only exporting reviews with a minimum star rating.

  • Only including reviews with or without content or images.

  • Excluding previously exported reviews to avoid duplicates.

Adjusting these filters will ensure all desired reviews are exported.

2. Product Association Issues

To resolve this, ensure all reviews are correctly matched with their corresponding Shopify products. Reviews not linked to a Shopify product may be excluded from the export, depending on your configuration.

To resolve this, verify your product matching settings and ensure all reviews are properly assigned to a product.

Additional Tip: You can also configure Shuttle to include "Shop" reviews in your export. This ensures reviews not yet matched to specific Shopify products will still be included. Please note that exporting Shop reviews is only supported by certain review apps.

3. Exporting Reviews by Date Range

If you've selected to export reviews within a specific date range, reviews outside that range will not appear. Make sure your date range includes all the reviews you intend to export.

4. Unintentionally Excluded Reviews

Double-check your Excluded Reviews page to ensure you haven't accidentally excluded reviews you'd like to export. Reviews marked as excluded won't appear in your exported CSV files.

To fix this, simply re-include the desired reviews, and they'll be included in your next export.

How to Ensure a Complete Export:

  • Double-check your Review Export Settings for unintended filters.

  • If "Shop" reviews are not included, ensure reviews are properly matched with Shopify products.

  • Ensure to select to export all reviews in the Export Reviews panel.

  • Double-check your Excluded Reviews page.
