Your Etsy reviews can appear on your Shopify store as well. Shuttle exports the Etsy reviews you have stored as a CSV file in your reviews app's import format, and you then import that file into the app.
To show the reviews on Shopify, you need a Shopify product reviews app installed, because that app stores and displays them in your store.
Shuttle can only export reviews you have already stored. If you haven't stored your reviews yet, see Storing your Etsy Reviews.
Choose your reviews app before exporting
Shuttle formats the review CSV for the reviews app you pick in your settings. Until you pick one, Shuttle creates a generic CSV that isn't set up for any specific app's import.
In Shuttle, open Settings and go to Reviews, then General.
Under Which product reviews app do you use?, select Other reviews app.
Pick your app from the Reviews app list.
Click Save.
If you use Reviewsion, select Reviewsion under Which product reviews app do you use? instead. Shuttle then sends your reviews straight to Reviewsion and doesn't create a CSV.
Export your reviews
The Export reviews button on the Reviews page only appears after you have stored some reviews. Once it is there, the export takes a few steps:
Open Reviews in Shuttle.
Click Export reviews.
Under Which reviews?, choose which reviews to export.
Click Export now. Keep the window open while Shuttle builds the file.
When the export is complete, click Download CSV. Shuttle also emails the file to your store's email address.
Which reviews can I export?
The Which reviews? options in the review export decide which stored reviews go into the file:
All reviews: exports every stored review.
Only non-exported reviews: exports only reviews that haven't been exported yet, so you avoid importing the same review twice.
By a date range: exports reviews between a start date and an end date that you pick.
Before the review export runs, Shuttle shows how many reviews will be exported and how many will be skipped based on your review settings. Reviews you have excluded and reviews that aren't assigned to a Shopify product are skipped.
Change what goes into the review export
The Reviews page in Shuttle's Settings lets you shape what goes into the CSV file:
Reviewer's Name: by default, Shuttle uses a made-up name for each reviewer to protect their privacy, and you can change the name format here.
Review Image: turn on Only export reviews with images to skip reviews without a customer photo.
Review Content: if you set default content for reviews that only have a star rating, you can turn on Only export reviews without content to export just those reviews.
Review Rating: set a Minimum rating to skip reviews below that star rating.
Import the CSV into your reviews app
Once you have downloaded the review CSV, upload it to your Shopify product reviews app using that app's import steps. If you're not sure how your app imports reviews, ask that app's support team.
Avoid opening or editing the review CSV in Microsoft Excel, because Excel can reformat the data and make the file invalid. If you need to make changes, use Google Sheets instead.
