Running an Analysis on your products

Updated this week

An Analysis goes beyond the Base Score by using AI to evaluate your listing the way a shopping assistant actually would. Instead of just checking whether your data is complete, it asks: "If a shopper asked an AI assistant about a product like this, would your listing have the answers?"

Each Analysis uses 1 analysis credit. [Learn more about credits β†’]

What happens during Analysis

The Analysis runs through three steps automatically:

Step 1: Product Identity. The AI reads your listing data across all platforms and builds a clear picture of what your product is, who it's for, and what makes it unique. This is the foundation for everything that follows.

Step 2: Shopper Questions. Based on your product identity, the AI generates 7 natural-language questions that a shopper might ask an AI assistant: 4 focused on your specific product and 3 broader category-level queries. These are the kinds of real queries your product should be able to answer. For example:

  • "Best handmade ceramic mug for coffee lovers?"

  • "Where can I find unique gifts for tea enthusiasts under $30?"

  • "Durable travel mug with a minimalist design?"

Questions are generated once per product, using all available listing data across platforms.

Step 3: Gap Analysis. The AI checks how well your current listing answers each question and assigns a match level:

  • Strong - Your listing clearly answers this question

  • Partial - Some relevant information is there, but key details are missing

  • Low - Your listing doesn't adequately address this question

For each gap found, you'll see exactly what's missing and a suggestion for what to add.

Customizing your questions

After the Analysis completes, you can review the generated questions and customize them before moving to Optimization:

  • Add questions - Include queries that are specific to your product or niche

  • Remove questions - Take out any questions that aren't relevant to your business

You cannot edit the wording of generated questions. If one isn't quite right, remove it and add a new one with your preferred phrasing. You can have up to 7 questions total.

Processing time

Analysis runs in the background - you'll see live progress updates as each stage completes. You can continue using Shuttle while it works. Most analyses finish in under a minute.

What's next?

Once your Analysis is complete and you're happy with the questions, you can run an Optimization to generate improved titles, descriptions, and tags based on the gaps found. [Learn more about Optimization β†’]
