Connecting Your Etsy Shop to Shopify with Shuttle

Step-by-step instructions to connect your Etsy and Shopify stores using Shuttle.

Shuttle needs your Etsy shop connected before it can sync products, orders, reviews or stock. Connecting takes about a minute. You sign in on Etsy, approve access, and come straight back to Shuttle.

Before you connect

  • In the same browser, sign in to the Etsy account that owns the shop you want to connect. Shuttle connects the shop that belongs to the Etsy account you approve.

  • If your Etsy shop is still being set up, give it at least one active listing first. Until it has one, Shuttle can't find the shop on your account.

Connecting your first Etsy shop

When you first open Shuttle, the Welcome to Shuttle! screen asks you to connect Etsy.

  1. If your Shopify and Etsy products use the same SKUs, tick My Shopify and Etsy products share SKUs. Shuttle will then match them automatically. If you leave it unticked, you match each product yourself after connecting.

  2. Click Connect to Etsy.

  3. On Etsy, approve access for Shuttle.

  4. Etsy sends you back to Shuttle, and setup carries on from there. For the rest of setup, see Initial Onboarding.

If Shuttle shows the banner Connect Shuttle to your Etsy shop, no Etsy shop is connected yet. Click Connect to Etsy in the banner, then click Connect to Etsy again in the window that opens.

Connecting another Etsy shop

  1. In Shuttle, go to Settings > Account > Connected Shops.

  2. In the Etsy shops section, click Add Etsy shop.

  3. Click Connect to Etsy, then approve access on Etsy.

The new shop becomes your active shop. Automations run for all connected shops. To make manual transfers or change settings for a different shop, click Activate next to it on the Connected Shops page.

If you connect a shop that is already in Shuttle, Shuttle refreshes that shop's connection. It doesn't add the shop a second time.

The free plan and the free trial include one connected Etsy shop. With one shop connected on either of these, the Add Etsy shop button is hidden and you see: "Your plan includes one connected Etsy shop. Subscribe to a paid plan to connect more shops." See Shuttle's Available Plans and Can I connect more than one Etsy shop?.

If the connection doesn't work

"We couldn't find an Etsy shop on that account yet." The Etsy account you approved has no shop that Shuttle can connect. Check that you signed in to the Etsy account that owns your shop. If the shop is still being set up, add an active listing on Etsy, then click Connect to Etsy again.

"Your Etsy connection didn't complete. Try connecting again." The approval on Etsy didn't finish. Click Connect to Etsy and go through the steps again.

"Something went wrong starting the Etsy connection. Try again." Shuttle couldn't start the connection. Reload Shuttle in your Shopify admin and click Connect to Etsy again.

"Your plan includes one connected Etsy shop. Subscribe to a paid plan to connect more shops." You're on the free plan or the free trial and already have an Etsy shop connected. Subscribe to a paid plan to connect another one.
