How to Add the Badge Bar to Your Shopify Store
The Badge Bar can be easily added to your Shopify theme using Shopify’s built-in Theme Customizer (no coding required):
Open the Shopify Theme Customizer.
Navigate to the location where you want the Badge Bar.
Click Add Section, then select Shuttle's Reviews Badge Bar from the block list.
Once added, use the sidebar settings to customize the appearance of the bar to match your store's theme.
Where Does the Badge Bar Get Its Information?
If you've stored your Etsy reviews with Shuttle, the Badge Bar automatically pulls your current review average and total from Shuttle's database. Shuttle continuously monitors your Etsy shop, updating the Badge Bar with new reviews as they appear.
If you prefer not to store all reviews in Shuttle:
You can manually input your Etsy review statistics into Shuttle’s settings:
Navigate to Shuttle’s Reviews settings page under:
Theme Blocks → Etsy Reviews Badge Bar.Enter the following information:
Average Rating: Current Etsy average rating.
Total Reviews: Current number of Etsy reviews.
Date of Values: The date you gathered this data (important for accurate future calculations).
Click Save Settings. Shuttle updates the Badge Bar on your Shopify store immediately.
From this point, Shuttle continues monitoring your Etsy shop and updating your statistics automatically.
Shuttle’s Rating Protection Feature
Shuttle includes a built-in Rating Protection mechanism. If your calculated Etsy rating average drops more than 0.1 points below your manually entered average rating, Shuttle temporarily stops updating the Badge Bar. Updates resume automatically when your average rating returns to within acceptable range.
This ensures your Shopify store always showcases strong and favorable ratings from your Etsy customers.
