The Reviews Badge Bar shows your Etsy shop's average rating and total number of reviews as a badge on your Shopify store. It can also link to your Etsy shop's reviews.
The Badge Bar is available on the Essential, Growth, Scale and Max plans, and during the free trial.
Turn on the Badge Bar
In Shuttle, go to Settings → Reviews → Theme Blocks.
In the Etsy Reviews Badge Bar section, tick Enable Etsy Reviews Badge Bar.
Under Link destination, use Which Etsy shop to link to? to choose the Etsy shop the badge links to. To show the badge without a link, choose Do not include a link.
Click Save.
A preview of the badge appears in the same section, so you can check the numbers before you add it to your store.
Add the Badge Bar to your Shopify theme
The badge only appears on your store once it is added to your theme. You don't need any code.
In the Etsy Reviews Badge Bar section, click Add to theme. Your Shopify theme editor opens with the Badge Bar ready to add to your home page.
Place the block where you want it, then save your theme in Shopify.
To change how the badge looks, select it in the theme editor and adjust its settings there.
Once the block is in your theme, the button in Shuttle changes to Edit in theme editor.
Check the badge's status
The top of the Etsy Reviews Badge Bar section shows whether the badge is live:
Active in your theme: the badge is added and visible in your published theme.
Not added to your theme: click Add to theme to place it.
Added but turned off: the block is in your theme but turned off there. Click Open theme editor to turn it on.
In theme, but not live: the block is in your theme, but Enable Etsy Reviews Badge Bar is off in Shuttle. Tick it and click Save.
Disabled in Shuttle: tick Enable Etsy Reviews Badge Bar to set up the badge.
Where the numbers come from
The badge counts the Etsy reviews stored in Shuttle (see Storing your Etsy Reviews). While the Badge Bar is turned on, Shuttle checks your Etsy shop for new reviews and updates the badge when it finds them.
If no reviews are stored yet, the badge has nothing to show.
Use your own starting numbers
If you don't want to store all of your Etsy reviews in Shuttle, you can enter your current Etsy numbers instead. Under Fixed stats (optional), fill in:
Average rating: your current Etsy average, between 1 and 5.
Total reviews: your current number of Etsy reviews.
Date of values: the date these numbers were correct.
Then click Save. Shuttle sends the new numbers to your store when you save.
Fill in all three fields. If any of them is empty, Shuttle ignores the fixed numbers and counts only the reviews it has stored.
After that, Shuttle adds every new review dated after Date of values to your numbers. The badge stays up to date without you entering them again.
When the badge stops updating
In two cases Shuttle does not update the badge, and the badge keeps the last numbers it showed:
Your average rating is below 4.
You entered your own Average rating, and the average Shuttle calculates falls more than 0.1 below it.
Updates resume on their own once your average is back within range.
