Shuttle keeps two records on the Inventory page so you can check what happened to your stock. Stock History lists the stock updates Shuttle made between your Etsy and Shopify shops. Alerts History lists the alerts your stock rules raised.
What does Stock History show?
Stock History lists the stock updates Shuttle made in the background, so you can see why a quantity changed on Etsy or Shopify. It covers updates from the Stock Syncer, kits, duplicate SKUs, custom matches and stock rules.
To see it, open Inventory and scroll to the Stock History section at the bottom of the page.
Each row in Stock History is one update:
Product: the product, with its variant and SKU.
Direction: the shop the change came from and the shop Shuttle updated.
Type: the reason for the update, and whether it was Manual or Automatic.
Change: the stock level before and after the update.
Status: Success, Warning or Error. A warning or an error comes with a short message about what went wrong.
When: the date and time of the update.
Shuttle keeps stock updates for about 30 days, then removes them from Stock History.
What do the types in Stock History mean?
The Type column in Stock History shows which part of Shuttle made the update:
Direct: the Stock Syncer copied a stock change from one shop to the matching product in the other.
Duplicates: Shuttle updated other variants that share the same SKU.
Kits / Bundles: Shuttle updated a kit or one of its components.
External Match: Shuttle updated a product linked through a custom match.
Stock Rules: a stock rule changed the quantity.
Manual under the type means the update followed a change you made yourself in Shuttle, such as editing a product's quantities. Automatic means Shuttle made the update on its own after stock changed on Etsy or Shopify.
See Introduction to Real-Time Stock Syncing with Shuttle, Syncing Quantity Updates for Duplicate SKUs, Using Kits & Bundles and Using Custom Matches.
Find a stock update in Stock History
The filters at the top of Stock History narrow the list to the updates you care about:
Search by SKU or product title.
Choose All, Manual or Automatic.
Choose All, Success or Error. Error also shows warnings.
Select one or more types: External Matches, Duplicates, Kits, Stock Syncer or Stock Rules.
The type filters use slightly different names from the Type column. Stock Syncer shows the Direct updates, Kits shows Kits / Bundles, and External Matches shows External Match.

What does Alerts History show?
Alerts History lists every alert your stock rules raised. You can see which products ran low, which rule caught them, and whether Shuttle adjusted the stock.
There are a few ways to open Alerts History:
Open Inventory and, in the Stock automation section, select View alert history.
Open Stock Rules and select Alerts History.
To see one rule's alerts only, open Stock Rules and select the number in that rule's Alerts (7d) column.
The Last 24 hours summary at the top of Alerts History counts the past day's Alerts, the Products they covered, and how many of those products were Sold out.
Each row in Alerts History is one alert:
Product: the product, with its variant, SKU and location. The location is your Shopify location or your Etsy shop.
Source: whether the stock change happened on Shopify or Etsy.
Quantity: the stock level that set off the alert. If the rule also adjusted the stock, you see the level before and after, marked Auto-adjusted.
Rule: the rule that raised the alert.
Order: the order that brought the stock down, when there was one.
When: whether the alert was sent, and the date and time Shuttle raised it.
Alerts that have not been sent yet come first, and the rest follow, newest first. Shuttle keeps alerts for 30 days.
To use Alerts History, you need the Growth plan or higher.
What do Sent, Scheduled and Skipped mean in Alerts History?
Every alert in Alerts History has one of three labels that show whether Shuttle emailed it as its own alert:
Sent: Shuttle emailed the alert.
Scheduled: Shuttle has not emailed the alert on its own. A fixed-time rule's alerts wait for the time set under Fixed time delivery in Settings > Alerts & Notifications.
Skipped: Shuttle recorded the alert but did not email it.
A fixed-time rule's alerts can stay Scheduled even after they reached you by email. When Send me a daily summary of stock alerts is turned on in Settings > Alerts & Notifications, which it is by default, Shuttle puts fixed-time alerts in the daily summary email instead of sending them separately. Those alerts keep the Scheduled label.
An alert is Skipped in two cases. A newer alert may have come in for the same product, variant and location, and Shuttle emails only the newest one. Or Only send the alert when stock crosses the threshold is turned on in Settings > Alerts & Notifications, and stock was already at or below the rule's threshold before the change.
