If you need to align quantities between your Etsy and Shopify products, Shuttle can run a one-off update across a group of products or your whole catalog. The flow is the same as any other product update, with the Quantity field selected on its own.
Looking for continuous sync? For real-time stock syncing as sales happen, set up Stock Syncer instead. The bulk update described here is best for one-off alignment, after which the Stock Syncer can keep things in sync going forward.
Before you start: quantity updates only apply to products that are already matched between Etsy and Shopify. If matching is not yet set up, take a look at Matching Products & Variations first.
Bulk sync quantities
From the Products page, click Transfer or update products in the top-right corner.
On the Transfer page, pick a direction: Etsy β Shopify or Shopify β Etsy.
Under What do you want to do?, choose Only update existing products.
Under Narrow down the products, choose a product status and, optionally, a section (Etsy) or collection (Shopify) to scope the update.
Under Fields to update on duplicates, deselect the other fields and tick Quantity.
Review the summary and click the action button to start the run.
If you only want to sync quantities for a specific list of products, add them to the queue first, then run the Transfer queued products tile on the Transfer page with Quantity selected.
Sync quantities on a single product
If you only need to refresh one product:
From the Products page, locate the product.
On the product's row, click Update in Shopify or Update in Etsy, depending on the direction.
In the modal that appears, deselect the other fields and tick Quantity.
Click the action button at the bottom (for example, Update Shopify product) to start.
Tips for accurate quantity syncs
Confirm that the products and variations you want to sync are properly matched between Etsy and Shopify. Unmatched variations are skipped.
Double-check your field selection before starting. Only the ticked fields are overwritten on the destination.
If you run a quantity sync and notice that some variations did not update, the most common cause is unmatched variations.
If variation quantities are not updating
When a product's quantity updates but some variations do not, the variations are usually not matched between Etsy and Shopify.
To resolve this:
Review the Matching Products & Variations article to check your matching method and confirm which variations are unmatched.
If matching alone does not align the variations, use the Recreate product inventory option in the update modal or in the bulk update settings. This rebuilds variants and inventory on the destination from the source, which helps when the variant structure has changed.
