Real-time stock syncing keeps your Etsy and Shopify stock levels in step without you doing anything, so a sale or restock on one platform updates the quantity on the other. The Stock Syncer trial lets you use it free for 14 days before you choose a plan that includes it.
The Stock Syncer trial is separate from the free 14-day trial. The free 14-day trial does not include stock syncing, so you start the Stock Syncer trial on its own. You can run both at the same time.
See The free 14-day trial: what it opens up and what happens when it ends and Introduction to Real-Time Stock Syncing with Shuttle.
Who can start the Stock Syncer trial?
Each Shopify store can use the Stock Syncer trial once. You can start it when all of these are true:
Your Etsy shop is connected to Shuttle.
Your Shuttle account has access: you are on the free plan, on the free 14-day trial, or on a paid plan that does not include stock syncing, such as Essential.
Your store has never had a plan that includes stock syncing, including older Shuttle plans.
Your store has not used the Stock Syncer trial before.
Growth, Scale and Max already include stock syncing, so stores on those plans do not need the trial.
The Stock Syncer trial is not offered while your Shuttle access has expired. It becomes available again once your account has access.
Why is the Start free trial button greyed out?
The Start free trial button is greyed out when your store cannot start the Stock Syncer trial. On the Stock Syncer page, a note under the button gives the reason in two cases:
"You have already used your free 14-day Stock Syncer trial."
"You have had a syncing plan before, so the free trial is no longer available."
In both cases, View plans takes you to the plans that include stock syncing.
How do I start the Stock Syncer trial?
You can start the Stock Syncer trial from the Stock Syncer page:
Open Stock Syncer.
Click Start free trial.
In the confirmation window, click Start free trial again.
You can also start it from the Stock syncing card on Overview, under Try Stock Syncer free for 14 days, or from Settings > Stock Syncer.
The 14 days start the moment you confirm, and each store can use the trial only once. Start it when you are ready to set up syncing.
Turn on stock syncing during the Stock Syncer trial
Starting the Stock Syncer trial does not switch syncing on by itself. Open the Stock Syncer page and turn on Etsy to Shopify, Shopify to Etsy, or both, depending on which way you want stock changes to go.
The Stock Syncer trial also unlocks all Stock Syncer settings, including the Etsy → Shopify and Shopify → Etsy tabs in Settings > Stock Syncer.
While the trial runs, a label such as Trial, 12d left shows how many days remain. It appears on the Stock Syncer page and on the Stock syncing card on Overview.
What happens when the Stock Syncer trial ends?
When the 14 days are up, stock syncing stops. Stock changes on one platform no longer update the other, so your Etsy and Shopify quantities can drift apart until you update them yourself or subscribe. The trial is free, and nothing is charged when it ends.
Your Stock Syncer settings stay saved. On the Stock Syncer page, Start free trial is greyed out from then on, and View plans takes you to the plans that include stock syncing.
Does the Stock Syncer trial end when my free 14-day trial ends?
No. The Stock Syncer trial runs its full 14 days even if your free 14-day trial ends first, as long as your account then moves to the free plan or a paid plan.
If your Shuttle access expires, stock syncing stops at the same time, even if Stock Syncer trial days are left.
Keep stock syncing after the Stock Syncer trial
If you subscribe to a plan that includes stock syncing before the Stock Syncer trial ends, syncing carries on without a gap and keeps your settings.
If you subscribe after the trial has ended, open the Stock Syncer page and check that Etsy to Shopify and Shopify to Etsy are switched on the way you want.
To keep stock syncing, you need the Growth plan or higher.
