Dynamic Images lets you add up to 5 custom images to your Etsy listings during product transfers and updates. Instead of manually editing each listing, you define rules that automatically append images to products that match specific filters.
This is useful for adding branding images, size charts, care instructions, or promotional banners to groups of products at once.
How It Works
Each dynamic image rule has three parts:
Image URL - A direct link to the image you want to add (must be
https://).Filter Type - How to match products.
Filter Value - The specific value to match against.
When a product is transferred or updated on Etsy, Shuttle checks each rule. If the product matches the filter, the image is appended to the listing.
Image URLs
The custom images use URLs rather than direct uploads. You'll need to host your image somewhere accessible (e.g., your Shopify files, a CDN, or any public image host) and paste the URL.
URLs must start with
https://A preview will load when you enter a valid image URL
Supported formats include JPG, PNG and WEBP.
Filter Types
Filter Type | Matches Against | Example |
Shopify Collection | The product's Shopify collection name |
|
Shopify Tag | A tag on the Shopify product |
|
Etsy Section | The product's Etsy shop section (updates only) |
|
Etsy Tag | A tag on the Etsy listing (updates only) |
|
Filter values are case-insensitive - entering summer sale will match a collection named Summer Sale.
Note: Etsy Section and Etsy Tag filters only work when updating existing Etsy listings, since new transfers don't have Etsy data yet.
Limits
Maximum of 5 dynamic image rules.
Etsy allows up to 20 images per listing -- dynamic images count toward this total.
If a product matches multiple rules, each matching image is added (duplicates are automatically prevented).
Setup
Go to Product Settings and scroll to the Add Custom Images section under Shopify to Etsy image settings.
Click Add Custom Image.
Paste your image URL and wait for the preview to load.
Select a filter type and enter the filter value.
Repeat for additional rules, then save your settings.
